Seema Shinde was born and brought up in south Mumbai (Bombay) India.She started working as theatre actress at age of 8 and kept getting opportunities one after other.she is trained in classic dance form Kathak and along with acting.She also taught dance for years at laxmi Chaya ( film actress) dance school in Dadar Mumbai.Other than Bollywood movies,commercials,Tv serials she was known for acting in theater Production in both Marathi and Hindi.Some of her notable work was Marathi Play”Turtur” Directed by Kedar Shinde her costar was Shreyas Talpade,Makrand anaspure etc who are established actors now. . “Kamli”( national awarded documentary film by film division )where she played title role kamli the story of rape young victim also with Mithun Chakraborty,Ravi Kishan,Shakti Kapoor in movie “Justice Chaudhry”
also with Nana patekar,Aayesha zulka,Paresh Rawal,Sharbani mukharji in movie “Aanch”
with Rajpal yadav,Antra mali, Govind Namdev in “ Mein Madhuri Dixit Banana Chahti hoon” with Pankaj Kapoor, Supriya pathak Nawazuddin Siddiqui , Yashpal sharma, Nandita das,Sunita rajpal in “Mohandas B.A.L.L.B “on ZTv which she played as assistant of Mohandas.In Ketan Mehta’s production “Captain Vyom” sci-fi series on tv with Milind Soman where she played role of his younger wife.She got recognized as an actress for first time in 1988 when famous Marathi play “Durga Zali Gauri” came in series on DD1. During Childhood she was part of Redio Aakshvani Series “Bal-Darbar”. “Aashiyana” DD1 serial Seema played one of lead character. also with Jaspal Bhatti,Babalu Mukharji, Asrani , Vrajesh Hiraji on Ztv’s comedy serial “Hi Zindgi Bye Zindgi”. Tv serial “Aankhe” with famous title song starred her with Anupama Verma, Raju Kher, Sharad Kapoor She was in major role in Z Marathi serial “Jagavegli” She was modeling for brand and acting was music videos too.Most notable one was MTV India’s first remix video song “Dhagala Lagali Kala”where last stanza picturised on her.Her first lead actress Marathi movie “kulswamini TuljaBhawani”noted by Marathi movie industry and media all over Maharashtra.seema’s elder sister Megha Shinde very wellknown face in TV industry and voice artist.her second sister Hema shinde is professional singer.Seema got happily married NRI hotel businessman in Maine USA in 2004.
She took her hospitality diploma there and started helping her family business and became partner in their expanded business. She has two daughters Sarah and Simmoney. Her eldest daughter Sarah Patil is 3 times champion in Taekwondo in Jr Olympic in US. During free time Seema takes Bollywood dance camp in local schools just to introduce Indian dance forms to non Indian students in Maine USA. In 2022 Seema got honored by Maine artist organization for her contribution towards community. Seema is planning to come back in Indian Tv/ film industry.
